DESCRIPTION: Ferahan carpet, workshop weaving from the Arak area in western Iran, 10'6" x 13'2", from 1900-1920; This carpet was woven with the same design as late 19th - early 20th century so-called "Ferahan-Sarouks", and one must assume it comes out of the same milieu. It is coarser and also has a broader color range than most old Sarouks, since it was not washed as hard chemically. Great color harmonies. Complete, with one original warp finish, and in very good condition.Additional images
