19th Century Uncut Raw Silk Tibetan Ceremonial Robe Tibetan Textiles Gallery RUG NAME: Uncut Raw Silk Tibetan Ceremonial Robe GALLERY: Tibetan Textiles CATEGORY: Textiles AGE: 19th Century PRICE: 6500 USD ID(Jozan): no. 3385 DESCRIPTION: I would like to know more about this. An uncut raw silk robe. Heavily embroidered. The thread is wrapped in gold. The design and gold thread is laid on top of the silk and then attached as to layer on top. Given the color and design, my opinion is this was to be a ceremonial robe but obviously never was cut. I have an idea that this is special and and maybe much older. Size: 145cm by 212cms.
