DESCRIPTION OF DESIGN & HISTORY :
This beautiful yellow-orange and red horse cover used to cover the bridal horse is perhaps a tradition of the class and quality that the Senneh weavers are respected, even in their simplest form. Quite apart from its desired appearance, the mina-khani pattern has been mirrored at the center, giving an even distribution throughout the central field towards the borders. A simple border of calligraphic like flower separates the main border structure of the coloured botehs and guard stripes.
With the granular, short-clipped pile wool of the origin displaying a high degree of natural lustre, the carpet is comparable in every respect to the great 19th Century Sennehs. A wall rug suitable for collection.
