DESCRIPTION: Dozar from the town of Rosveh, in Feridan, a district next to Chahar Mahal, southeast of Isfahan, in central Iran, dating to 1900, 4´7” x 6´10”. This is a finely woven old piece, with cotton warps and wool wefts, and a variety of madder reds, from aubergine to rose. The border of opposed light blue birds, comes from an early tradition, but is hardly ever used the way it is here. Complete and in almost perfect condition.
