Wholesale buyers will find
designer-quality carpets at the New York International Carpet Show in September.
This year the show opens for buying on Wednesday morning, September 17, at 10am at the historic Armory on Lexington Avenue and 26th Street. The show runs for three full days with hours from 10am - 6pm each day. There will be a reception on
Wednesday from 4-6 pm during show hours.
There will be a special buyers' preview opening at the New York International Carpet Show from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, September
16.
The New York International Carpet Show has become established as a major trade show with four years of consistent growth and positive feedback from the market.
Buyers like the timing in September. And they like the New York City location.
Exhibitors at NYICS include some of the more creative and market-savvy
importers. Buyers find carpets with well-executed transitional and contemporary looks that sell well at the upper end of the
market.
NYICS has secured a niche in the handmade carpet industry. There is a steady advance in the quality and number of exhibitors. The show is action-central during Fall Market Week and there's a lot of excitement in the Armory when these
importers display their best carpets under the same roof at the same time.
Exhibitors include: Amadi, Aga John-Hamilton, Anadol, Antique Look, Antique Rug Connection, Apadana, Ariana, Asha, AzadUSA, Caravan Rug, Carini Lang, Carpet Heritage, Chuk Palu, French Market Collection, Halvai, Haynes Robinson/Rug Alliance Zurich, Impressions of Afghanistan, Kooches, Mobayen, Pacific Collection, Pasargad, Shivhon, Tamarian, Tibetano, Woven Legends, Yayla, Zollanvari and others.
