New York International Carpet Show: 18-21 September 2007
NYICS has established itself as the new Fall Market for trade buyers looking to buy high-end goods for the all-important 4th quarter selling season. Dennis Dodds, owner and producer of the trade show, tells Jozan
Magazine that "last year's buyers from both the US and from Europe reported that quality and design are key-words in today's marketplace. Retailers need fresh contemporary designs and sophisticated
transitional looks to sell to their customers. We also get interior designers and architects who come to NYICS for their projects"
Major importers expected at the third annual NYICS are Caravan Rug, Woven Legends,
Tamarian, Haynes Robinson, Tibetano, Zollanvari, Aga John/Hamilton, Amadi Carpets, Asia Minor, Pacific Collection,
Atiyeh, Kooches, Antique Look Carpets, and many others. There will be new introductions, collections, solid programs, custom weaving capability and must-have one-of-a-kinds. NYICS is located in one
location -- the historic Armory on Lexington Avenue at 26th Street near the well-known Oriental Rug district.
A Preview Reception will be held on Opening Day, Tuesday, 18 September, from 1-3pm, at the the 3rd Annual New York International Carpet Show
