Kish Carpet Festival in Iran from 22 to 27

The Second Persian Carpet Festival will be held in Kish Island from 22
to 27 April, 2004. Kish Trade Promotion Center is presenting the program
in cooperation with relevant domestic and international organizations.
The first such festival were in 2003 and brought together hundreds of
participants including businessmen, producers, researchers and artists.
The festival will open on Thursday 22 April 2004, featuring: dyeing
workshop, nomadic tents, carpet weaving, musical performances and
indigenous art from different regions of Iran.
The Exhibition will be held at the Kish International exhibition Center,
and will display a wide ranging collection of hand woven carpets attended
by leading carpet producers and merchants.
The Scientific conference is planned for Friday 23 April 2004, and will be
attended by Iranian and non-Iranian researchers and experts.
